Cardinals coach Bruce Arians had a bunch of injuries to update on Monday, including the ankle sprain suffered by quarterback Carson Palmer.

After the game, Arians said Palmer had a high ankle sprain but he termed it, via Darren Urban of the team’s website, a “low grade” sprain when he met with the media. Palmer was injured early in the game on a low hit by Kamerion Wimbley that was flagged for roughing the passer, but didn’t miss a snap after getting taped up on the sideline.

Arians also confirmed that wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald still has to pass through the league’s concussion protocol before he’s cleared to play against the Seahawks. Fitzgerald’s father tweeted Monday that his son passed his concussion tests, but Arians said the only tests Fitzgerald has passed were the ones allowing him to head home after the game on Sunday.

Running back Andre Ellington is expected to be fine after missing overtime because of a thigh injury, but safety Reshad Johnson has a high ankle sprain that puts his status for Week 16 in doubt. With Tyrann Mathieu out, the Cardinals would be thin at safety if he can’t play.
