Jamaal Charles wins AFC offensive player of the week

Jamaal Charles, Jacoby Ford AP

Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles deserves consideration for some of the big year-end awards, and he definitely deserved the weekly one.

Charles was named AFC offensive player of the week, the kind of thing that usually happens when you score five touchdowns in a game.

Charles had eight catches for 195 yards and four touchdowns against the Raiders last week, which made his eight rushes for 20 yards and a touchdown seem paltry.

Of course, his catch-and-run antics made the Raiders look the same way.

Even I could win offensive player of the week, if I played against the Raider defense.

Jamall Charles is The Man! he is one of the reason the Chiefs are back in the Playoffs. He is the True League MVP! (Even Peyton Manning Knows It). Go Chiefs!

Should have an asterisk because it was against the Raiders.

Jamaal deserves all the great things happening this season. He works hard, supports his fellow chiefs and shows good sportsmanship. Sometimes I think he was created to renew hope and competition to The Kansas City Chiefs and their fans.

    Thanks Jamaal!

SD Chargers – 54 straight years without a Championship..

I think Jamal might deserve the MVP just a tiny bit more than Peyton. He has a weak and scared QB who refuses to throw the ball further than 10 yards down the field. He sees almost always an 8 man front or run blitzes. He can catch, run, block, and is like 80% of that weak offense. He is literally carrying a fairly weak offense and through skill and will he has turned them in to a strong foe…. The D is pretty good too and while Reid still can call some dumb plays and has no sense of clock management, he is a quality coach overall. Basically what I am saying is, without Manning the Broncos might still be pretty good. Without Charles, there is no way that “noodle arm Smith” and that weak offense can do anything to help out the D in KC.

Raiders beat Sandy Eggo this year already!
    HA!
This week Raiders will dominate again in South Oakland!

Jamaal deserves all the escalades…(chiefs fans know what I’m talking about)

Noodle arm? Such language Jucam1. Maybe you’re just watching the Redskins by mistake and getting the jersey colors mixed up. That was 9-0 Alex Smith…since that time this is 2-3 Alex; setting records and outscoring Peyton Manning!! Gnaw on that non-Chiefs fans.
