Eddie Lacy returns to practice

While the Packers won’t have starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers for Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh, it looks like they will have their leading rusher in the lineup.

Rookie tailback Eddie Lacy, who missed Wednesday and Thursday with an ankle injury, returned to practice on Friday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

The Packers’ official Twitter feed indicated that Lacy will be listed as probable on the final injury report.

Lacy, 23, has rushed for 1,028 yards and eight TDs on 248 carries this season. He has carried at least 20 times in 9-of-13 games this season. The second-round pick from Alabama has also contributed in the passing game, catching 31 passes for 236 yards.

Lacy is a beast but expect a short career because of the way he runs. I foresee many nagging injuries in his future. But a good pick by GB nonetheless.

HaHa – comparing a rookie to a HOF’er is funny. That’s like comparing Favre’s toughness to Rodgers. But good try

Sweet! Finally some good news on the injury front for the Packers. Glad to know the only rookie running back to rush for over 1000 yards this season will aiding in the cause to win on Sunday.

Eddy Lacy sure seems to be doing well this year. You could do worse.

As much as this guy is hurt and out of shape, you’d think he was taking part in the Ravens conditioning and diet program.

A running back who does nothing flashy, moves the chains and helps in the passing game?
