Justin Houston progressing toward return

Dexter McCluster isn’t the only member of the Chiefs eyeing a return against the Colts this weekend.

Linebacker Justin Houston has also been progressing toward getting back on the field after missing the last three games because of a dislocated elbow. Adam Teicher of reports that Houston is working with the first team and hitting a sled at practice, two things he wasn’t able to do when he made it back to practice last week.

The Chiefs had no sacks in two of the three games that Houston missed, but that’s only part of the reason they’d like to get the pass rusher back for the next two weeks. Defensive coordinator Bob Sutton said that the team also wants Houston to get used to playing with an elbow brace before they get to the postseason.

“The first priority obviously is that we want him healthy,” Sutton said.”That’s not earth-shattering or anything. Obviously it’s advantageous for him if he can get back out there. It’s a benefit. The first priority is getting him 100 percent healthy. The second is getting him out there and getting him used to it. He’s got to get used to playing with a brace a little bit.”

Left tackle Branden Albert was limited in practice the last two days because of the knee injury that kept him out the last two games while tight end Anthony Fasano, also out the last two days, has gone full after being out of the lineup the last two weeks.

You can be healthy, you still havent beaten a winning team!! Philly doesnt count, they were a mess back then. Maybe you win this Sunday but not when you come to Indy!!

Obsession is so stupid. Dallas was 1-0 Titans were 3-1 both lost to the Chiefs. The Chiefs will do you hard this weekend and then get their foot all up in it in two weeks.
