Patriots duck out early to go to the movies

2013 AFI FEST - "Lone Survivor" - Arrivals AP

The Patriots spent part of today watching film, but it wasn’t all of the Ravens.

According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, coach Bill Belichick juggled his schedule to take his players to the movies.

They saw the new movie “Lone Survivor,” which is actually about a group of under-siege Navy SEALs, and not, as you might think, about Tom Brady’s receiving corps.

Their last field trip was also to see another Mark Wahlberg movie, “The Fighter.” Such trips are more common during training camp, but breaking the routine can help keep players focused as the regular season draws to a close.

Did you know that Mark Wahlberg mugged an oriental man for his case of beer and permanently blinded him in one eye? Since then Mark has never apologized, offered any money or shown any remorse towards the victim.
So for a bunch of cheaters to go see this movie starring someone who also did really bad things, figures.

As long as you are The Hoody you can get away with it…Mike Munchack it would be a sign he doesn’t work his team right.

I read on TMZ that brady broke away from the team and snuck into see a foreign movie called ‘Bogus Penalty Flags of Victory’.

They should have gone to see a different Mark Wahlberg movie: Ted.

That way, when they hear foul language they can pretend those officials are just cuddly teddy bears.

Thinking about the Ravens too much can stress you out…

It’s funny how when belichick does something it’s taken as something positive and good for the team and no one questions it, but say if it were, idk? Rex ryan, it’s a circus move.

  16. grabgrabgrab says: Dec 20, 2013 5:47 PM

This is Bill’s way of prepping them emotionally for when they “duck” out early from the playoffs.

C’mon now. That’s funny whether you’re a Patriot fan or not!

Was The Big Hit already taken? That features not only Wahlberg, but LDP

Everyone should read the book “Lone Survivor” by Marcus Luttrell. I look forward to seeing the movie. I just hope Hollywood stays true to the story.

Well, it’s better than emulating Rex Ryan by taking them to Dave & Buster’s.

Does Belichick still wear a hoodie out in the real world?

  23. tedmurph says: Dec 20, 2013 7:06 PM

It’s about team building. Nobody does it better than Belichick. Took the team to see the movie about the Shackleford expedition as well, back in the day. Let’s step back, stop listening to the noise and rally around. We’re still in this thing. Overcome the adversities and the injuries.

Watch out on Sunday. I think the Pats are gonna play their best game of the yr. Whether that’s good enough, I don’t know. We’ll see, can’t wait. Greatest coach of his era having one of his best yrs
