Jaguars throw it to Brad Meester to set up early TD

The Jaguars figured out a fun way to honor retiring center Brad Meester.

They threw it to him.

Meester reported as an eligible receiver, and converted a first down on a screen pass. That play, his first reception in a 14-year-career, set up a touchdown by tight end Marcedes Lewis on the next play.

The Jaguars went up 7-3 on the Titans with those plays, in an otherwise lackluster games between teams scrambling for second place in the AFC South (for what that’s worth).

I like what Jedd Fisch has done with not much to work with in Jacksonville. There’s a guy to keep an eye on for head coaching opportunities in a few years.

Awesome way to honor a player who has worked so hard for not much recognition in his career. Thank you Mr. Meester for 14 years in Jacksonville!
