The Broncos clinched the AFC West title Sunday, but they may have lost something even more important.
According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos fear outside linebacker Von Miller suffered an ACL injury in Sunday’s win over the Texans, though they haven’t given up hope it’s less severe.
Miller will have an MRI Monday to determine the full extent of the injury. He walked off the field under his own power, but that’s not always the most accurate indicator.
“There’s always some concern when your teammate goes down, especially a guy like Von, who’s really starting to click now,” Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey. “It’s unfortunate, but hopefully it’s something minor and something he can come back from real quick.”
Miller started the year with a six-game suspension, and an unscheduled end would severely dampen the Broncos’ Super Bowl chances.
