Ryan Tannehill leaves game briefly after taking sixth sack

The Dolphins have not protected quarterback Ryan Tannehill well all day.

Now we’ll see if they do a better job with Matt Moore. Kyle Williams dropped Tannehill inside the Dolphins’ 10-yard line early in the fourth quarter for the sixth Buffalo sack of the day and Tannehill needed medical attention on the field after the play.

Tannehill limped off the field a short time later and he’s questionable to return with a knee injury. Tannehill and the Dolphins offense had a miserable first half and things got worse in the second half. They ended the first half with 56 yards and had just 58 when Tannehill left the game, leaving even the mathematically challenged with a clear idea of how bad things got.

After a long pass to Brian Hartline, things got even worse. Moore was picked off by Bills safety Jim Leonhard and the Dolphins are back on defense down 13-0 with 10:31 to play in the game.

UPDATE 3:47 p.m. ET: Tannehill returned with 6:35 to go in the game and led a three and out to hand the ball back to the Bills with Miami trailing 16-0.

Tannehill is pretty tough but nobody can continue to withstand that kind of beating.

We might not be making the playoffs, but it feels great knowing we eliminated the DoLOLphins

They should hope he’s okay if they want to have a chance to get into the playoffs, though the way their
Line has protected their QBs it might not matter

Losing to Buffalo with a playoff berth on the line is not what you do.

The Pats may not win it all, but at least they’ll get their shot! Get those tee times reserved, Philbin & Co.!

Like I said Friday the fins got nothing and they are going no where even if they make the playoffs…after they add up all the sacks today Miami will be lucky to have 100 total offensive yards….

For kicks, let’s just say Pit and NE win later: next week if jets beat Mia and bengals beat bal, Steelers in if they beat Cle. Hmmm.

Where are all the Dolphin fans who stated ” The the Dolphins had overtaken the Patriots”???

Where are all the Dolphin fans who declared that Brady was over the hill and the ” mantle passed on to Tannehill”???

Jeez…didn’t they say the same Fiedler, Beck, Culpepper????

Tannehill needs to get sacked 24 more times in their final game to break Houston Texans record (in 1st season after expansion – victim David Carr).

  16. doctorrustbelt says: Dec 22, 2013 5:13 PM

CORRECTION: Tannehill needs to get sacked 19 more times to break Houston Texans offensive lines record.

    19 ! ! !

Love seeing all these arrogant Pats* fans commenting on a thread about a game that didn’t involve their cheating team. What a bunch of whiny frontrunners. Can’t wait until (a) your cheating is further exposed (refs, cough, cough) and (b) you get blown out in the playoffs.
