Seahawks and Cardinals tied 3-3 in a slugfest

Steven Hauschka, Jon Ryan AP

The Cardinals are 9-5, but hanging to their playoff lives by the thinnest thread.

But they’re putting up quite a fight on the road, in the league’s toughest building.

Two of the league’s most physical defenses have traded punches throughout the day, with only field goals to show for it.

The Seahawks have picked Carson Palmer off three times, but the Cardinals have held the Seahawks to just 112 yards of total offense.

The Seahawks wasted a goal-line chance, with a Steven Hauschka boinging one off the goal post just before halftime to leave it tied at 3-3.

The Cards have to win to extend their chances at a Wild Card spot, as a Seahawks win would lock the second-place team from the NFC South and 49ers into the fifth and sixth seeds.

Paper tiger, if only they were as good as their uninformed fans think they are

Hawks have three picks AT HOME, and the game is tied? If the cards win or even make it close, the 49ers are gonna analyze every second of this game footage.

    Finally a true defensive battle.

    LOL. Overrated!

I think the hawks are running very vanilla plays in an attempt to hold back some of the playbook. And there is also the fact that the Cards have a nice defense, particularly against the run which Seattle has to establish in order to open up the passing game.

There is also the fact that they are overrated and will lose their first playoff game.

Good god… I know you hate us 49ers, but the one time we want you to win you are incredibly mediocre… Dallas Cowboys like.

Enough of how great you are… Okay deal? I have DirectTV and see how awesome you are playing.., 12th man?

Keep thinking you are a shoe in for the Super Bowl, bandwagon Seahawk fans. Your offense is pedestrian on most days, especially when the competition steps up.

They waited too long to abandon the vanilla, silly seahawks.

Regardless how this turns out the Cards defense played great. The Cards are better then a lot of the teams that did make the playoffs.

Like the “Riverboat Illegal Alien” Ron stated about the Saints, the same is true about the Seahawks…”their beatable”.

Oh man, would love to see the Seahawks fall on their face!! Their fans have become the most annoying in the league the last two years (49ers fans a close 2nd).

    But, but 12th man…

Wow – Seattle got screwed by the refs.

    Who would have thought?

  18. rainponcho87 says: Dec 22, 2013 7:23 PM

I expected a blowout. By the Cardinals!

Seahawks deserved to lose that game. They’ve been playing way way conservative ever since they got their playoff seat and it’s coming back to bite them. I love Pete Carroll, but this was stupid coaching. They’ve taken all of the rhythm out of the offense. If they’re waiting for the playoffs to try and revive it, they’re going to have a rude awakening when they’re one and done. Just horrible and infuriating for fans to have to watch this offense and the pathetic play calling down the stretch.
