Bills will “have a peek” at E.J. Manuel on Tuesday

The Patriots have wrapped up the AFC East, but they have plenty to play for in Week 17.

A win gives them a first round bye and a shot at home field throughout the AFC playoffs, but a loss could drop them behind the Bengals or Colts into the third seed. It’s not clear what quarterback they’ll be facing when they try to get that victory.

Thad Lewis started in place of E.J. Manuel against the Dolphins on Sunday, but coach Doug Marrone said last week that he was confident Manuel could return for the regular season finale. On Monday, Marrone wouldn’t commit to either quarterback and said that the team would evaluate Manuel’s condition in the coming days.

“It’s a process. We’ll get him out there tomorrow and have a peek at him,” Marrone said, via the team.

Lewis was 15-of-25 for 193 yards and an interception in the defense-driven 19-0 victory over the Dolphins. Manuel is recovering from his third knee injury of the year.

Marrone also said that wide receiver Stevie Johnson may not be available for the game. Johnson missed Sunday’s game after spending the week in California following the death of his mother and Marrone said the funeral is scheduled for December 27.

Knocking Miami out of the playoffs (potentially)……. and then knocking New England out of a potential bye-week by winning in their building on week 17………. if the Bills can’t make the playoffs, this is the next best thing!

The Bills will be in the playoffs next year if EJ steps it up. Their D-Line is beastly

Next year is all about this kid for the Bills, as long as they effectively address some of their offseason needs.

If EJ plays well they can be a playoff team. If you look at their schedule this year, there’s about 6 of their 9 losses you could look at and say that they could and/or should have won, but they didnt. I strongly beleive the QB play has a lot to do with why they did not win those games.

Win or lose leave the patriots battered and bruised.

Bold talk coming from the lakefront…..I know they beat Miami but I forgot about this team months ago. I have no clue what their record is. I’m sure Sundays win was exciting for you but my advise would be to get ready for another Buffalonian Bummer….

The Curse of Doug Flutie is what ails the Bills.

Should have kept Rob Johnson on the bench where he belonged.
