Merry Christmas, PFT Planet

No matter how much the world changes, Christmas remains the same.

It’s the one day of the year when mostly everything slows down, so that we can spend time with our families and enjoy the happiness of our children and drink a little wine and sing a little song and do a little dance and eat a lot of candy and reflect on the year that was and ponder the promise of the year to come.

We’ll be doing most of that stuff, along with continuing to post stories about the greatest game on the planet.

The final act of the 2013 NFL regular season awaits, only four days away.  With four teams (Ravens, Dolphins, Chargers, Steelers) jockeying for the last playoff spot in the AFC, two teams (Saints and Cardinals) angling for the final wild-card spot in the NFC, a pair of win-or-go-home division championship games, and the coveted byes in both conferences still undecided, there’s plenty to talk about and write about and think about.

So open up those new laptops, tablets, and cell phone devices, download the NBC SportsTalk app and/or pull up PFT in the browser, and keep checking throughout the day for the latest information about the sport that never takes a day off.

Merry Christmas, Mike, to you, your family, and great staff. Some of the stuff you write infuriates us, is sometimes lame, but is always informative and worth reading. You have set the standard for the rest of the sports web. Looking forward to more in the New Year!

    Merry Christmas, everyone!

Christmas is inherently a Steeler holiday. It is a day to rejoice our — Steeler Nation — coming into this world. My, the many blessings, how grand our stay’s been. It’s time to sincerely thank us for that we have done as an extension of God and, of course, where we are heading. Oh! How we are favored! ‘Tis the season to be us, for sure. Bless the rest of you feeble souls; your efforts do not go unnoticed.
