Report: Sean Lee out Sunday, neck injury worse than Cowboys thought

Tony Romo didn’t look “overly comfortable” to Cowboys coach Jason Garrett on Wednesday, casting doubt on his ability to play through a back injury on Sunday night against the Eagles.

There’s plenty of doubt about linebacker Sean Lee’s ability to play as well. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Lee will not play against the Eagles and that the sprained neck that kept him out of the last two games is more significant than the Cowboys originally thought.

If that’s the case, Lee would presumably also be out for a playoff game should the Cowboys beat the Eagles and win the NFC East. That won’t be easy if they’re missing Lee, especially if Romo is out of the lineup and the offense can’t hang up enough points to make up for a Cowboys defense that gave up plenty of them whether or not Lee’s been in the lineup this year.

If Lee’s season is over, it will also be the second straight year that he was out of the lineup because of injury at the end of the season. His year would end with 99 tackles and four interceptions in 11 games.

I love how this guy’s talent but he has never been able to stay healthy. He missed two full seasons at Penn State and it hasn’t gone much better in the pros.

Cowboys will get destroyed regardless if lee plays or not. This team is a total joke and every time I watch them play I’m just waiting for the next comical call that the worst coach in the nfl will make. Well I guess jim Swartz is worse but it’s a toss up

Cowboys are done. Stick a fork in ‘em and start booking tee times for the off season.

I actually like Romo – he’s a gamer and if the rest of the team had his talent and drive the Cowboys would be a good team.

But Romo’s all I like about that team. The owner and GM both suck (HA HA) and both of them (HA HA) deserve the drama and ridicule the team gets.

Maybe Jerry Jones will stop pushing for an 18 game season. QB’s in Gb, Chicago, Baltimore, NY, Cleveland, . . . all banged up.

Check with Dr. Jerry Jones or his son Mini Me.

Seems Lee will always have injury’s with the way he plays ML. He plays with reckless abandon but he doesn’t have the body type for that a la Ray Lewis.

    Fragile.
