There’s plenty of doubt about linebacker Sean Lee’s ability to play as well. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Lee will not play against the Eagles and that the sprained neck that kept him out of the last two games is more significant than the Cowboys originally thought.
If that’s the case, Lee would presumably also be out for a playoff game should the Cowboys beat the Eagles and win the NFC East. That won’t be easy if they’re missing Lee, especially if Romo is out of the lineup and the offense can’t hang up enough points to make up for a Cowboys defense that gave up plenty of them whether or not Lee’s been in the lineup this year.
If Lee’s season is over, it will also be the second straight year that he was out of the lineup because of injury at the end of the season. His year would end with 99 tackles and four interceptions in 11 games.
