Dwayne Bowe has a concussion

If the Chiefs are looking for starters to rest this weekend, they might want to start with wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.

Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports that Bowe will be listed on Thursday’s injury report with a concussion. Bowe was not on Wednesday’s injury report at all, which indicates the concussion was something he’s suffered this week.

With just a few days before Sunday, it would be hard for Bowe to receive the necessary clearances to play against the Chargers. With the Chiefs locked into the No. 5 seed for the playoffs and Bowe locked in as the team’s top receiver, there wouldn’t seem to be much reason to push for that clearance now when the Chiefs need Bowe much more next week.

Linebacker Tamba Hali missed his second practice of the week because of a knee injury, which moves him into the unlikely to play category as well. Linebacker Justin Houston, who has missed the last four games with an elbow injury, has been practicing fully this week.
