PFT hosts The Dan Patrick Show on Friday

Elway

Dan Patrick foolishly has entrusted to PFT his national radio/TV program between 20 and 30 times over the last four years. Friday’s edition of the show entails a couple of firsts.

I’ll be hosting the show from Dan’s New York City studio, and I’ll be doing a TV version of the show without Dan’s on-air crew on the air. But those guys aren’t there for banter; they each perform an important function to the production of a radio show. (Except for McLovin.) So I needed some help in order to pull off the three-hour tour of the sports world.

Enter Matt Casey, who among other things produces Pro Football Talk on NBCSN and serves as a member of the Football Night in America team. Also enter Rob “Stats” Guerrera, who produces The Erik Kuselias Show on NBC Sports Radio. Along with Greg Bergman of FOX Sports Radio, who’ll be handling various technical issues from California, we’ll hopefully manage to not screw things up too badly.

At least I’ll have people to blame if I do.

You’ll have only yourself to blame if you miss it. The show airs on nearly 300 radio stations and SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio, the audio streams at DanPatrick.com, and the TV version can be seen on NBC Sports Network and the Audience Network on DirecTV, channel 239.

Guests via phone include Broncos executive V.P. of football operations and Pro Football Hall of Famer John Elway, Tony Dungy of NBC’s Football Night in America, Cardinals G.M. Steve Keim, and Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Also, Peter King of TheMMQB.com will join us in studio for a couple of segments. It will be up to Stats and Matt Casey to let Peter know when his mic is hot. And to turn his microphone off if he starts singing.
