The NFL’s leading tackler was among five Bengals to miss practice on Thursday with injuries.
Weak-side linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who has 157 stops in 15 games, did not practice today because of a concussion.
According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, Burfict was present off to the side at practice and did not have his helmet.
The 23-year-old Burfict suffered the concussion in Sunday’s win vs. Minnesota. He has not missed a game in his two NFL seasons.
Other Bengals sitting out were tight ends Tyler Eifert (neck) and Jermaine Gresham (hamstring), cornerback Terence Newman (knee) and defensive tackle Devon Still (knee).
The Bengals have clinched the AFC North. They can earn a bye in Round One with a win Sunday vs. Baltimore and a Patriots loss to Buffalo.
