The Bears’ offseason to-do list is now a little shorter.
The club announced Friday it had signed kicker Robbie Gould through the 2017 season.
A league source tells PFT that Gould’s contract has $9 million in guarantees. Overall, it’s a four-year, $15 million pact.
Gould, 31, was slated to be a free agent at season’s end. The Bears’ kicker since 2005, Gould has connected on 234-of-272 field goals (86.0 percent) and 319-of-321 extra points in his NFL career.
Gould is 26-of-29 on field goals this season for Chicago, which plays for the NFC North title Sunday against Green Bay. Gould has also forced 35 touchbacks on 83 kickoffs.
Gould’s extension comes three days before his 32nd birthday.
