Case Keenum will be a game-time decision

One of the most important quarterback decisions of 2014 will be made about 90 minutes before the 2013 finale.

Texans interim coach Wade Phillips said that presumptive mop-up starter Case Keenum was limited in practice today, and would be a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Titans, according to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com.

Keenum has been bothered by a thumb injury, and if he can’t go, the fate of the first pick in the 2014 Draft would be decided by Matt Schaub.

The Texans can clinch the first pick in the selection order with a loss, which would be their 14th straight after a 2-0 start.

The decision is whether to bench him or cut him.

Let me take a moment to bask in the suckiness of Keenum and the fact that I’ve been right all along. I am cut from a different cloth than other slack jawed Texan fans.

    1) predictable offense (with no ability to check out of a bad play)
    2) playcaller (Kubiak) fired
    3) horrible O Line play
    4) now on the 6th RB due to injuries
    5) top two TE’s out

Maybe Tom Brady could overcome this, but no one else. I don’t think its really possible to know whether Keenum sucks. I’m not saying he does or doesn’t.
