Packers will make call on Randall Cobb on Saturday

Aaron Rodgers is in and Eddie Lacy is in, which means the only decision left for the Packers when it comes to their offense on Sunday has to do with wide receiver Randall Cobb.

Cobb practiced again on Friday and Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that he looked like he “might be playing sooner, rather than later.” Coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t willing to rule Cobb in for the date with the Bears, although it sounds like that’s in the cards if Cobb’s leg doesn’t start barking overnight.

“We gave Randall a bunch of work today. He’ll be evaluated tomorrow. See how he feels tomorrow,” McCarthy said, via Paul Imig of FOX Sports Wisconsin.

The Packers would need to activate Cobb from injured reserve, something that would happen on Saturday assuming Cobb’s evaluation goes well. While the Packers won’t be fully intact on Sunday -- linebacker Clay Matthews had another surgery on his thumb, to name one missing part -- it looks like they’ll be the most complete team they’ve been in months heading into a game they have to win.
