Setback for Rahim Moore

Moore AP

Broncos safety Rahim Moore can return to the team in time for the AFC title game.  He may not be able to.

According to Mike Klis and Joan Niesen of the Denver Post, Moore said Friday that he has suffered a setback in his effort to return from a leg injury.  In November, Moore underwent surgery to alleviate compartment syndrome.  He has not yet been able to run.

Moore was placed on injured reserve with the designation to return.  Each team can use that label once per year.  Otherwise, players placed on IR are done for the season.

For Moore, the 2013 playoffs provide an opportunity for redemption.  In January, Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones got behind Moore deep, and Moore misplayed an underthrown pass that became a touchdown for Jones and overtime for the Broncos.  Baltimore eventually won with a field goal in the second extra session.

There is a chance that Baltimore could play Denver in the playoffs. Might be wise to hold him out til after that game.

Just to be safe, I think Denver should sit Rahim throughout the playoffs, you know, just in case they start throwing deep on him (See Baltimore).

Isn’t that what fans suppose to think? Isn’t that what teams in the playoffs suppose to think? If not then the broncos might as well give their playoff spot to another team and sit home for the post season. Think before you say, who goes into the playoffs thinking they have no shot to go to the SB.

Rahim Moore plays good ball… Save for one bone head play in a huge game. I’ll be happy to get him back healthy. This D needs all the help it can get.
