Chiefs holding 21-14 lead at San Diego

The Chiefs’ backups on offense are making the most of their opportunity at extended playing time.

Running back Knile Davis has rushed for 79 yards and two TDs as the Chiefs hold a 21-14 third-quarter lead in San Diego.

Quarterback Chase Daniel has also played well for Kansas City, completing 10-of-14 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown.

The Chiefs have clinched the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs. A win or loss Sunday will not change their seed, and coach Andy Reid has elected to rest numerous starters.

Nevertheless, the Chiefs have the lead over a Chargers club that will clinch a postseason spot with a victory against Kansas City.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers threw for 99 yards and two TDs in the first half, but he was picked once, and the Chiefs capitalized with their second touchdown of the game, a Dexter McCluster two-yard catch.

The NFL should just eliminate every AFC team and give us New England-Denver in a best of 3.

3 point difference with 12:00 left in the 4th. Don’t sign that Christmas card yet, Chiefs.

Believe me, I’m the first one throwing crap across the living room hoping not to destroy the TV with an errant pass, but it ain’t over yet…

God signed that Christmas card. It is prophecy. It was written by a wise Steeler over 3,000 years ago. #7, 2013, creation of the SFL, etc. We’ve said this all year and people just dismissed it as a joke. Now do you hear us?
