McClellin has a special welcome back plan for Rodgers

Rodgers

The last time the Bears and Packers played, Chicago defensive end Shea McClellin broke the collarbone of Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers. With Rodgers returning, McClellin has a special welcome planned.

Hit ‘em,” McClellin said, via Adam L. Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times. “That’s how you rattle any quarterback. Get pressure on them.’’

Quarterbacks also tend to get rattled when their bodies make rattling noises. Still, McClellin has had only four total sacks in his second NFL season.

“A wise man once told me, ‘Stats are for losers and baseball players,’” McClellin said. “I could give a crap about that.”

But for McClellin’s hit on Rodgers, the Packers would have run away with the NFC North long ago. As it stands, the Packers have to beat the Bears at Soldier Field.

That will be harder to do if McClellin can hit Rodgers hard enough to send him back to the sidelines.
