Ravens on the ropes in Cincinnati

Andy Dalton AP

The Ravens’ playoff hopes are growing dim.

On the strength of two Andy Dalton TD passes, the Bengals took 17-6 halftime lead vs. visiting Baltimore at Paul Brown Stadium.

The Ravens have just 90 yards of offense. Quarterback Joe Flacco, who’s dealing with a knee injury, has completed 11-of-18 passes for 65 yards.

The Ravens picked Dalton twice in the first quarter, scoring six points off of those turnovers. However, the Bengals’ offense and their quarterback soon got it together. Overall, Dalton completed 12-of-19 passes for 155 yards in the first half.

If the Ravens lose, they will need losses by the Dolphins and Chargers, plus a tie or loss by the Steelers, to make the postseason.

Against all odds, here come the Steelers. Didn’t we try to explain this to your feeble minds back in week 5 after starting 0-4?

We overcome. We always overcome. Our trophy case demonstrates that.

    Not any more they aren’t.

Bungals fans have seen this oh too often, this has been a complete collapse in the 2nd half so far.

From poor throws by Andy Dalton, to an amazingly bad punt to an amazingly bad challenge by Lewis.

This game is anything but over.
