Santana Moss comes up with short summation of Redskins season

Redskins owner Dan Snyder is meeting with Mike Shanahan on Monday morning with the result expected to be Shanahan’s departure as the team’s head coach.

That will end weeks of speculation about Shanahan’s future and a constant stream of reports about dysfunction on the coaching staff and with Shanahan’s relationship with quarterback Robert Griffin III. Mike Florio ran down some of the messy recent history between Shanahan and the team on Sunday morning, but wide receiver Santana Moss did it a little quicker when asked to sum up the team’s 3-13 season.

“It’s been some s---, man,” Moss said, via CBS DC.

Moss’ opinion is certainly backed up by what we’ve seen on the field from the Redskins over the last 16 games. The final indignity in a season filled with them came in a rain storm at the Meadowlands as the Giants knocked off the Redskins 20-6 despite losing Eli Manning to an ankle injury just before halftime. It carried all the listless hallmarks of a team in need of a change at the top, one that should be coming early on Monday.
