Will Beatty out with broken leg

It’s pouring at MetLife Stadium on Sunday and injuries are coming as fast as the raindrops.

The Giants lost quarterback Eli Manning, wide receiver Rueben Randle and wide receiver Hakeem Nicks to ankle injuries in the first half and then lost left tackle Will Beatty in the third quarter. The Giants announced that Beatty broke his right leg when he took a blow to the inside of the knee during a play.

It ends a disappointing year for Beatty, who signed a five-year deal before the season. Pass protection was one of many problems for the Giants offense and Beatty admitted earlier this month that he’s failed to live up to expectations in the first year of that contract.

The Giants lead 17-6 in a game that’s featured six turnovers, a lot of rain and little in the way of excitement outside of Jerrel Jernigan, who has accounted for 139 yards and both Giants touchdowns.

Many of those Giants are more concerned with their face mask (looking cool) rather than playing well. Although, sad to hear about the leg.

Too bad there won’t be a house cleaning for the Giants. OC and DC need to go. Been disappointed in Fewell the last 2 seasons. And Beatty just had a bad year….it happens. But work needs to be done in the off season in many areas.

bad years happen to the best of them…..we just won a Sb 2 years ago and one 4 years before that…..lets not act like we haven’t had more than our share of success. Its the NFL too….today’s division chump is tomorrows division champ.

The giants are paying 40 millions to this guy who’s always get hurt somehow and have allowed more than 10 sacks, this Beatty guy should be a backup making 2 millions

No updates on the severity of any of those ankle injuries? Anybody need surgery?
