The Bengals’ depth has taken a hit entering the postseason.
The club announced Monday it had placed tight end Alex Smith and defensive tackle Devon Still on injured reserve.
Still, 24, appeared in 10 games as a reserve in 2013, notching seven tackles. He had missed the final two games of the regular season with a back injury.
Smith suffered a dislocated wrist in Sunday’s win vs. Baltimore. The 31-year-old Smith played in all 16 regular-season games for the Bengals, catching three passes for 12 yards and one touchdown.
The Bengals filled one of the open roster spots by signing veteran defensive tackle Ogemdi Nwagbuo, who appeared in one game for Detroit in 2012. The 28-year-old Nwagbuo has appared in 36 regular-season games since 2009, the majority of which with San Diego from 2009 through 2011.
The Bengals play the Chargers in the wild-card round Sunday in Cincinnati.
