The Dolphins didn’t make the playoffs, but even if they had, they’d have apparently been without one of their most consistent performers.

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, tests confirmed that Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline suffered a torn PCL yesterday. Surgery will not be required, and he’s expected to be ready for training camp.

Hartline finished the year with 76 catches for 1,016 yards and four touchdowns. He’s topped 70 catches and 1,000 yards each of the last two years.

For all the problems the Dolphins had figuring out how to move the ball on a regular basis, he was one of the bright spots.
