With the Buccaneers suddenly looking to fill a pair of jobs, it’s possible that they consider some guys who already know their way around Tampa.

Via Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Bucs could consider going back to former staffers Rich McKay and Lovie Smith for those jobs.

Of course, McKay’s still working for the Falcons as team president, but not in a hands-on football role like the Bucs are suddenly in need of. McKay was the Bucs General Manager from 1993 to 2003, helping to build the team that would go onto a Super Bowl title.

Smith was a linebackers coach there from 1996 to 2000, before taking the Rams defensive coordinator job.

Smith’s also a candidate for the Texans job, having already interviewed, and would likely draw interest for other openings as well.
