Brandon Jacobs only interested in returning to Giants

If Brandon Jacobs is to continue his NFL career beyond this season, it will have to be as a member of the New York Giants.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, Jacobs is reproaching the rehabilitation process for his injured knee as if he’s going to play next season. But as far as he’s concerned, it will only be in a Giants’ uniform.

I’m only playing here,” Jacobs said. “Screw all them other teams. Screw all them other teams. I’m a Giant. I tried (playing elsewhere) already. I’m a Giant. I am a Giant up and down, 0-16, 16-0, 8-8, whatever you want to call it. I’m a Giant. That’s what it is. And this is the organization that I love.”

Jacobs’ love for the Giants is further solidified after a mostly lost season as a member of the San Francisco 49ers in 2012. He was active for just two game with the 49ers last year before being released.

Jacobs provided a boost for the Giants this year when injuries left the team severely short-handed. He finished the season with 58 carries for 238 yards and four touchdowns before being placed on injured reserve.

His time in San Francisco suggests that the Giants are the only team interested in giving Brandon Jacobs playing time, so it’s only a natural pairing.

Eh, bring him back for another year. We could use a workhouse RB next year.

Approaching. Reproaching would mean he’d be criticizing his rehab.

So, he’s only willing to play for the only team that might sign him.

I don’t care what anyone thinks, #27/34 is one of my favorite Giants of all time. Out of line every once in a while? Yeah maybe, but just an emotional guy and one that I believe truly loves the organization he plays for which is a damn rare thing these days. Guy put his all in every snap he got, never mailed it in and a really nice guy off the field

This guy really does have a high opinion of himself, anyhow I doubt if the Giants or any other team will want him back, unless injuries hit them and they have no choice..

Well, there goes any negotiating leverage.

He’s implying any other team is interested in him…yeah right. Enjoy mediocrity Brandon!

Andre Brown can go, I’d keep Hillis and Jacobs.
