The Chargers’ injury report is short entering Sunday’s wild-card game at Cincinnati, but it does include their top rusher.

Tailback Ryan Mathews (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. This is the second straight week he’s sat out the Chargers’ first workout with an ankle ailment.

According to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Mathews was wearing a medical boot on the ankle, just as he did last week.

Mathews missed the first two days of practice leading up to the season finale against Kansas City. He practiced on a limited basis last Friday, then rushed for 144 yards two days later in the Chargers’ victory vs. the Chiefs.

Three other Chargers were on the club’s first postseason injury report. Wide receiver Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice, while defensive end Kendall Reyes (ankle) and defensive lineman Sean Lissemore (shoulder) were limited.
