Broncos getting healthier during their bye week

Derek Wolfe AP

The Broncos don’t know who they’re playing yet, but they know they’re getting healthier.

In fact, when they practiced Thursday, defensive end Derek Wolfe was the only player on the roster not participating, according to Joan Niesen of the Denver Post.

Wolfe practiced last week after missing most of the previous month with an illness, but didn’t make the trip to Oakland for the regular season finale.

Center Steve Vallos was back on the practice field for the first time since suffering a concussion against the Texans.

They have the opportunity to ease through this week after a few extra days off, while they wait to see who they face in the Divisional Round.

Ah, the joy and bennies of being the #1 team in the AFC. People get to rest and their opponents will have to suck thin air a mile high in the playoffs. Go Broncos!

It won’t matter who they play, Peyton will choke it away.

We still need to get Wolfe playing…. he is a little better than average pass rusher but a great run stopper. That’s what we need.

Is there a doc in the house? What the hell is wrong with Wolfe? He’s had issues keeping weight on, lost a lot of strength, etc. Can this be it for his career? Not good. Denver needs to place him on IR
