Colts enter playoffs as healthy as you can be in January

Now that the Colts finally sold out their home playoff game against the Chiefs, television viewers across Indiana will get to see what appears to be a fully stocked roster.

The Colts listed just two players as questionable on the injury report heading into tomorrow’s Wild Card game, nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin (knee) and defensive end Fili Moala (knee).

Franklin has practiced fully the last two days, while Moala has been held out of practice all week.

Everyone else on the report is listed as probable, having practiced fully the last two days.

They are without their #1 WR and #1 TE.

Except for that whole best receiver on the team being out with a torn knee ligament thing.

Last I checked the Eagles only had 1 player listed. Where’s that story. They also sold out their game in under 2 mins, where’s that story. It’s ok, just keep ignoring them. We love flying under the radar.

Too bad Jim Irsay’s twitter finger isn’t injured.

Really sad that a grown man who inherited his daddy’s fortune tweets like a teenage girl.

Stop trying to make us care about the Eagles. It’s not going to happen.

Too bad that Reggie Wayne has to miss out. It’s good that he got his ring already. He would have helped their chances quite a bit. Great player.

I’m surprised that more Chiefs fans didn’t buy up the extra tickets. It’s only a 7 hour drive and it’s the Saturday game.

    A “Fully Stocked Roster”?
Did Reggie, Dwayne Allen, Vick Ballard, Amhad Bradshaw and half of the starting O-Line get healthy?

Mike Tanier at SportsonEarth had a nice playoff preview column totaling up the different starting rosters Indy has had–16 different rosters this year, the most possible. Maybe 17 as of tomorrow. They started the most players on O and 2nd most (to Dallas) on D for the most overall in the league. (Man, has Dallas’s D been crushed by injuries.)

So… Colts are healthier than they’ve been the last couple months, it’s just that that’s a pretty low standard of health.

And they will exit as healthy as can be. One and done, just like last year. Playing in that crap division does them no favors come playoff time.
