Panthers defensive tackle Dwan Edwards has been fined $15,750 by the NFL, PFT confirmed on Friday.

Edwards was penalized in the third quarter of the Panthers’ 21-20 Week 17 victory at Atlanta after hitting Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan in the left leg on a first-down pass. The Panthers were assessed a 15-yard roughing-the-passer foul.

Edwards, 32, has recorded 20 tackles and three sacks in 11 games this season.

The Panthers are the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs. They host a divisional-round game in Charlotte on Sunday, January 12 at 1:05 p.m. ET.
