Quarterback Trent Edwards was among three players signed to reserve/future contracts by the Oakland Raiders on Thursday.

Edwards was with the Raiders in training camp in 2011 but was released after Kyle Boller beat him out for the backup spot to Carson Palmer.

Edwards did not play in the league this season after being released by the Chicago Bears during final cuts in August.

Edwards has started 33 games over six seasons for the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles. Edwards had thrown for 6,033 yards with 26 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.

In addition to Edwards, the Raiders signed defensive tackles David Carter and Torell Troup to reserve/future contracts.
