Titans owner Tommy Smith is meeting with coach Mike Munchak today, perhaps with the idea of making him the former coach.
But while there’s no news, there are signs that Munchak’s future is less than secure.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Titans have “reached out and are working on potential candidates” in case they make a move on Munchak.
It’s not a completely unusual idea to have a contingency plan, but talking to job candidates before there’s a job is a strange way to do business. Maybe Munchak will get a Tony Sparano extension out of the deal.
