Ryan Mathews practices, probable for Sunday

Barring an unexpected turn, the Chargers offensive line will be able to show their appreciation for running back Ryan Mathewsgift of Gucci watches by clearing holes for him in Cincinnati on Sunday.

Mathews practiced for the first time this week on Friday and has been listed as probable for the team’s playoff tilt with the Bengals. Mathews has been sidelined by an ankle injury this week, but it would seem that the team was merely managing his workload with the goal of having him in the lineup on Sunday. It appears they’ve accomplished that mission and will have Mathews on the field to continue his strong season.

Wide receiver Eddie Royal did not practice at all this week and is listed as questionable because of a toe injury. Royal hasn’t practiced much in recent weeks, but has been on the field come gameday so it’s probably a good bet he’ll be in the lineup as well. Defensive lineman Sean Lissemore is also questionable after a week of limited practices because of a shoulder injury.

Defensive end Kendall Reyes rounds out the injury report with an ankle injury. He’s expected to play after getting in full practices each of the last two days.

Glad he’s a go… Personally I fear Woodhead coming out of the backfield more then I do this guy.

i was one of this guy’s biggest critics before this year, but he has really turned the corner. the combination of him and woodhead can be very tough to defend.

If this game is played and nobody is there to see it, does it make a sound?

Guy is decent but Darren McFadden could be the only more fragile back in the game.

This is why we have a hard time selling out games, Mathews have a very good year and all people can comment about is how fragil he is. He had two fumbles and played in every game I’ll take 1,200 yards from my running back anytime. Chargers are going to win 27-20!

This bust will be out of the game by half time.
