Eagles, Saints off to slow start in Philly

It was probably impossible for anything the Saints and Eagles did in the first quarter to match the excitement of the fourth quarter in Indianapolis, so they’ve decided to give us all a chance to catch our breath.

There have been four possessions and four punts through eight minutes in Philadelphia as the two teams try to find their footing on offense. The Saints have picked up two first downs and looked for a moment like they might have another when the Eagles moved on a fourth-and-one on the first drive, but quarterback Drew Brees was called for a false start instead.

Brees has opened the game 2-of-5 while Nick Foles is 3-of-5 for the home team. The Eagles have just one first down, though, as the wait for the first points of the nightcap goes on.

I’m hoping for a 9-0 game, so it’s not a one score game yet is still low scoring and boring.

Well, the entire Saints offense is out there in short sleeves so that everyone knows the cold doesn’t bother them.

I thought this would be the high scoring game. and the Colts/Chiefs low scoring.
Its 14 degrees with wind chill in Philly, Brees better wake up and start playing or is it true that he cannot play in this weather? Too early to tell with a scoreless game I guess.

It’s shaping up to be another Eagles postseason loss per usual.

I think we should wait till the last 2 minutes or so of the game before we start screaming to fire someone, or someone is a bum, or someone can’t coach. Look what happened to everyone who wanted to replace Luck with RG3 in the prior posts. Heck we were firing the whole Colts team.

He was down, wonder what the refs will say? He was obviously down. Leg is down on the ground before the ball comes out. But, knowing the Refs track record…..

Saints beating themselves… Interception Brees.. if the Saints win this I will be amazed, Brees is going to make them lose if this keeps up.
