Chiefs tailback Jamaal Charles left Saturday’s wild-card game at Indianapolis after being shaken up early in the first quarter.
Charles, who leads the Chiefs in rushing and receiving yards, appeared to be injured when his head hit the turf after being tackled on a seven-yard run off right end.
Charles was on the Chiefs’ bench area for a few plays, then walked off the sideline, ostensibly to be further looked at inside by medical staff.
Rookie Knile Davis replaced Charles in the lineup.
UPDATE: Charles has been ruled out, the Chiefs said.
