Mike Neal gone for the Packers, too

The knee injury that knocked cornerback Sam Shields out of the game on San Francisco’s second play from scrimmage was obvious.  The knee injury that caused linebacker Mike Neal to leave on the opening drive wasn’t.

Like Shields, Neal is questionable to return.  Both exited for the locker room on carts.

Without them, the Packers defense has done a good job of keeping San Fran out of the end zone.  A pair of long drives for the 49ers resulted in short Phil Dawson field goals.

Offensively, the Packers have done nothing, with a third three-and-out and six total yards causing the boo birds to fly in the frigid Green Bay air.

This depleted team is completely pathetic.

They should have vouged a deserving team like the Vikings in the playoffs who would actually have a chance.

As a Pack fan, this is eerily similar to last year in the playoffs. We got our run game last offseason, now we need a damn defense. The 49ers are the only team that consistently embarrasses the Packers.
