Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins said recently that Robert Griffin III would be involved with the search for a new head coach in Washington, something that the Redskins denied a short time later.

We may be able to ask Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell about any role that Griffin is playing in the interview process on Monday night. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Fewell will interview for the head coaching job on Monday, less than a week after the team requested permission to interview someone they’re quite familiar with from NFC East matchups.

Fewell helped the Giants to the Super Bowl two years ago and his 2013 unit held up well despite getting almost nothing from defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul over the course of the season. He has seven games of head coaching experience after serving as an interim coach in Buffalo during the 2009 season and did the interview rounds after the Giants won the championship.

Cowboys special teams coach Rich Bisaccia interviewed for the job on Friday, joining Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell and Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell on the list of candidates identified in Washington thus far.
