Harvin moves closer to playing

The Seahawks received minimal return on their investment in Percy Harvin during the regular season.  With the playoffs here, they could be getting plenty of bang for their millions of bucks.

Officially, Harvin fully participated in practice on Wednesday.  That development comes one day after coach Pete Carroll said that the response of Harvin’s surgically-repaired hip to Tuesday’s practice will be critical to his ability to play — and less than two weeks after the Seahawks were within a day of placing Harvin on injured reserve.

Before Wednesday’s practice, quarterback Russell Wilson raved about Harvin, who hasn’t played since November 17.

[H]e looks unbelievable so far,” Wilson said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Added receiver Golden Tate regarding Harvin:  “He’s fast as beep!”

Tate elaborated, without beeps.

“I’m excited to see him play,” Tate said.  “[W]e saw a glimpse when he wasn’t even healthy against Minnesota.  He’s definitely going to open things up for a lot of us, I think.”

Even if Harvin ultimately is a decoy, the Saints will have to account for him on Saturday, which will help an offense that as times has sputtered.

He isn’t a decoy. He will be the real thing if he makes it onto the field. In the past four years the Hawks have not let a player play just to be a decoy. It won’t start now. If he plays, he will play.

    Go Hawks!

It’s going to be a great game, regardless of whether or not this guy ever plays again.

    May the best team win.

Plenty of offenses have ‘sputtered’ when playing the NFC west, let alone playing over a third of your games against it.

Seattle has played 8 of it’s games against top-10 total defenses, and 11 of it’s games against defenses in the top half of the league, and still managed to finish tied for 7th in scoring.

So what is that now, 8 weeks since he’s been close?

Should be a solid addition to the Seahawks. I’m rooting for you guys! take out the Saints and make us bucs fans happy!

Can’t wait to see both of the plays he’ll be active for.

I’ll believe it when I see it. If he does play and is fully healthy, it’ll be a big boost. The offense has been stale the last month of the season and they could use his speed and playmaking ability big time.

Smart move playing the kid “when he wasn’t even healthy against Minnesota.”

Bubble screen to the House and 2 KR over 40 yards…bank on it!

Hope he plays! Seahawks fans will love this kid on the field. Pound for Pound toughest player to tackle in the league.

Just as soon as they activate him from the hip injury he will come up with a migraine headache. Thanks for the 1st and 3rd round draft picks Seattle!

Thanks for Percy and you are welcome for the 1st and 3rd round picks, for players that wouldn’t even make the Hawks roster.

    Good luck with that.

How’s the coaching and quarterback search going?

Can’t wait to see him get hit low and fumble the ball AND leave with a hip injury lmao

The Saints haven’t given up a KR for a TD since….EXACTLY!

I don’t care if its Harvin, Marvin or Sparvin playing.
