Clinton-Dix, Kouandjio leaving Alabama early for NFL Draft

Not since, well, Barkevious Mingo has a college prospect been so anticipated by the NFL media as Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Or maybe it’s just me, because I like saying their names.

The Alabama safety and his teammate Cyrus Kouandjio are leaving school a year early to enter the NFL Draft, according to Alex Scarborough of ESPN.com.

Both could be first-round picks.

Clinton-Dix, a free safety, was likely headed out anyway, after a suspension this year for receiving improper benefits.

But left tackle Kouandjio’s future was more of a question, as he said he was 50-50 on leaving before the Sugar Bowl.

Either way, the pair of them provide us with another wonderful name, and a new entry into our spellcheck dictionary.

Kouandjio has a lot of work to do and he had a tough last game. His stock range is pretty large right now and I think somebody is going to pick his teammate before him now.

How sweet would that be if the Bolts got Kouandijo to sure up the LT spot so now you have 2 Bama guys on both ends of the line with DJ Fluker at RT.

At some point, it’s no longer “early”, it becomes normal.

I think Eagles fans would love to see Ha Ha in their secondary next year. Or really anyone but Chung!

“HA HA” Clinton-Dix ( lol what an awesome name ) I think he’s going to devlop into a nice NFL player. He is solid at coverage, just needs to become a bit more physical in the run game.

Have to think GB would take Ha Ha Dix if he gets to him as safety was by far their weakest link on defense last year which is really saying something considering how bad the ILBs were

Dear Ted Thompson: please find a way to draft Ha Ha Clinton Dix. Our safeties are terrible.

Hopefully they’re more Lacy than they are Richardson.

Welcome to Green Bay, Mr. Clinton-Dix. What is your ring size?

to fans of any team needing a safety clinton-dix would be your guy but you better hope a serious top 10 player falls to st louis at 13th or he will be gone he is by far the best safety in the class and it is the rams most glaring need so expect to be picking someone else.

If he’s on the 53 man squad and goes down, then the team will have 52 guys without Dix.

I want him drafted by the Eagles, who need a safety, and also because I want to hear Merrill Reese call his name for the next 10 years or so.
