The list of names connected with the Giants’ opening at offensive coordinator continues to grow.
Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that the team will interview former Texans quarterbacks coach Karl Dorrell for the position, which became available when Kevin Gilbride retired after the end of the season. Dorrell was let go along with most of the other coaches in Houston when Bill O’Brien took over as the team’s head coach.
Dorrell has no experience as an offensive coordinator in the NFL, but he has filled the position at the college level and spent five years as the head coach at UCLA. He compiled a 35-27 record with the Bruins before being fired at the end of the 2007 season.
The Giants interviewed former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan and former Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains on Wednesday and they reportedly scheduled an interview with Packers quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo this weekend.
