Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith is active for today’s divisional round game against the 49ers despite a knee problem, but one of the guys who might be covering him isn’t.

Cornerback Carlos Rogers is on the inactive list for the 49ers, after struggling with a hamstring strain all week. He did some light warmups before the game, but was among their list of inactives.

Also down for the 49ers are: Tight end Derek Carrier, linebacker Nick Moody, guard Ryan Seymour, defensive tackle Quinton Dial, guard Joe Looney and wide receiver Jon Baldwin.

The Panthers inactives include: Running back Jonathan Stewart, wide receivers Tavarres King and Marvin McNutt, cornerback Josh Norman, linebacker Dan Connor, tackle Travis Bond and defensive end Wes Horton.

Smith tried to soft-sell his availability this week after spraining his PCL in Week 16, but his status was never really a question, after waiting five years between playoff games.
