Report: Broncos fear Chris Harris’ knee injury is serious

Broncos coach John Fox called cornerback Chris Harris the “only and most significant” injured player after Sunday’s victory over the Chargers and the knee injury that knocked him out of the game sent him to an MRI machine on Monday morning.

The test has concluded and that Harris is at the team’s facility waiting for the results. According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos are preparing to get bad news.

Klis reports that there’s fear around the team that Harris will be out of the lineup against the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, a loss that would leave them without another key defensive player. Linebacker Von Miller and defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson are both done for the season while there’s no sign that safety Rahim Moore or defensive end Derek Wolfe is ready to return to the lineup.

The Patriots find themselves in similar straits on that side of the ball after losing Vince Wilfork, Jarod Mayo and Brandon Spikes, which could bode well for the offenses come next Sunday.

Not to worry, Broncos fans. We don’t have any receivers for you to cover anyways!

Remember that article a week or so ago saying the Broncos were getting healthy? lol

That’s a big loss for the Broncos. Not only is Harris one of their most consistent corners, but his replacement, Quentin Jammer may be the worse corner on the roster. Jammer comes in for Harris against NE, Denver gets torched in the second half; Jammer comes in for Harris last night, Denver gets torched late.

Edeltron already toasted gim for 110 yards and 2td’s. That being said Chris Harris jr is the best slot corner in the league and Quentin Jammer is probably the worst corner in the NFL. Big Loss

These two teams are just wasting everyone’s time. Unless your coach’s name is Harbaugh, you’re not winning any Superbowls this year.

The guy who made the idiotic comment about being happy someone got hurt.

It has nothing to do with lack of sportmanship. It has everything with him being a classless human being. Not being a fan of team is normal but wishing a person is injured is really sick. Hey I’m a Bronco fan and no I do not like the Patriots. I don’t want to see any of them injured. One no person deserves to have people wish another one to be hurt. Two I want the Patriots to be healthy. I want both teams to have their best players on the field and then let the game play out. I hope its a good game and whoever wins then wins the superbowl.

Antoine Winfield is available and sitting by the phone. Seriously, who else could you add at this point if Harris is out?

The media and patsfans like to give NE so much credit for winning this year with all of their injuries but a lot of teams succeed with major injuries.
The broncos have also lost their #2 and #3 best players (Von Miller and Clady). Add in the loss of their best safety (Rahim Moore), their second best DT (K. Vickerson), and possibly their best corner (Harris). The Patriots losses don’t seem so bad relatively. The problem with the Patriots and why they won’t win another super bowl is that despite being the greatest coach ever, Belicheck can’t draft defensive talent and just throws spitballs at the wall in free-agency hoping that retread will work out. Coaching is a big edge for NE but talent usually wins out. Denver 28-27

I get it. You hate the Pats. Just leave it at that.

Mayo – Miller (I’ll give Miller an edge, not a lot though)
Wilfork -Vickerson (Vince by a good margin)
Volmer – Clady (I’ll give Clady an edge, not by much again)
Moore. That’s like stating Adrian Wilson is on IR for the Pats.. Lets not confuse “their best safety” with an actual “good” safety.
Gronk? I’m sure you think he’s a role player though.

Hmmm…let’s see following are on IR- Wilfork, Kelley, Mayo, and Spikes on defense. Gronkowski, and Vollmer on offense, and Punter Ryan Allen (injured Saturday). So yeah I guess you’re right the Patriots losses don’t seem so bad relatively.

Injuries? Pats didn’t/don’t even have a punter. it’s sad when Brady has to do extra chores for the team.
