It would be impossible for us to post on every player leaving college early for the NFL Draft in advance of Wednesday’s deadline, given the rate at which they’re coming out.

But Stanford left guard David Yankey announced he was joining the process today, instantly becoming one of the top interior linemen available this spring.

A two-time All-American (a unanimous choice this year) at Stanford, Yankey had a fifth year of eligibility, but is on track to graduate this spring.

Stanford’s success in the power run game has drawn a lot of attention, and the prevalence of teams willing to run in the postseason will bring more attention to inside blockers.

Last year was a good year for guards in the draft, and with two taken in the top 10, and Yankey could be a first-rounder.
