George Paton lands on Miami’s radar

The Dolphins have been announcing the names of candidates who have interviewed for their vacant G.M. position, after the interviews are completed.  Eventually, an announcement could be coming with the name George Paton in it.

Per a league source, the Vikings assistant G.M. has landed on Miami’s radar screen.  It’s believed that he’ll interview for the position.

Paton was considered for the Rams G.M. job a couple of years ago, and his name has emerged in connection with other vacancies.  He previously worked in Miami from 2001 through 2006.

The Dolphins interviewed five candidates for the position from Friday through Sunday.  No further interviews have been conducted on Monday or Tuesday.

Or, perhaps more accurately, no further interviews have been announced.

LOL Rick Spielman’s lap dog. Sounds like a Stephen Ross move. Wish they’d take Rick back while they’re at it. Oh and good luck with that…

A great World War II General won’t necessarily make a great NFL executive.

Fins could only win with General Patton, not some guy named George.
Come on, how about a real coordinator.

This is embarrassing. Bring in a guy who shown less aptitude at finding talent than the last guy to oversee the biggest in house free agent retaining period this team has ever faced while knowing next to nothing about the team with just 2 months until free agency?

the Herald now reports that the kid who breaks down film for the Toronto Argonauts is the favorite for the role of Dolphins GM, but that kid is “weighing his options”

oh, goody. you blew your chance at mcadoo and Bill Lazor for OC, now you’re going to interview the guy doing personnel work for the hapless vikings?
maybe they’re just trying to drag this along until the Ted wells report comes out and nobody wants to work there.

I’m just glad my son has already outgrown his dolphins jersey.

Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man. If mountain ranges and oceans can be overcome, then anything built by man can be overcome.

I dont think the Dolphins should continuing naming who is on their radar, most of these potential GM’s are scrubs.

Hope someone tells Ross the REAL George Patton died 70 years ago or so. But it would be funny to see him slap Tannehill on the sideline after an interception.
