Bills sign Ramses Barden to reserve/future deal

The Bills have signed former Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden to a reserve/future contract, the club said Thursday.

Barden (6-6, 224) caught 29 passes for 394 yards in four seasons for the Giants (2009-2012). He was a third-round pick of the Giants in 2009. The Giants released the 28-year-old Barden with an injury settlement in September.

Barden is one of three wide receivers signed by Buffalo to reserve/future contracts this offseason, with Brandon Kaufman and Chris Summers the others.

The Bills also announced the signing of free safety Jajuan Harley (ex-Seahawks), linebacker Willie Jefferson (ex-Texans), wide receiver Chris Summers (ex-Vikings, Bears) and linebacker Nathan Williams (ex-Vikings, Dolphins) to reserve/future deals Thursday.

Best of luck to him. Wasn’t sure where he was, he should become a great red zone target with that size

Wonder why they miss the playoffs for a generation? There’s one reason

Coughlin and Gilbride wasted this talent for 4 years. Coughlin insisted he had to play special teams before proving his worth and that moron Gilbride never took advantage of using his only 6-6 receiver in the red zone. Two Idiots, I’m glad one of them are gone now!

    He’s a great receiver…..if you’re playing Carolina.

Should just add him directly to the injury report, he could suffer an eye injury standing near the field. Enjoy.

Aren’t reserve futures contracts only for guys who are practice squad eligible? I thought Barden used that up a long time ago. He’s been hanging around the fringes of the league forever.

Now Manuel can miss his target by six inches instead of twelve. At least it will look like he’s improving.
