Carlos Rogers practices again for 49ers

Rogers

Before Wednesday, 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers hadn’t practiced since Week 17. Rogers has now practice two straight days.

On Thursday, Rogers was a limited participant in practice with a hamstring injury suffered in the regular-season finale against the Cardinals.

It’s unclear how limited he was in comparison to Wednesday’s session. Via Steve Corkran of Bay Area News Group, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said before Thursday’s practice that Rogers participated in roughly half of Wednesday’s practice, and that Fangio hoped he would “be able to do a whole lot more” on Thursday and Friday.

Linebacker Ahmad Brooks did a lot more on Thursday than Wednesday, given that he didn’t practice at all on Wednesday due to an illness. After a Thursday walk-through and before the full practice, Brooks said he missed Wednesday’s session with a “severe head cold.”

Also limited in practice on Thursday was fullback Will Tukuafu, who injured his knee early in Sunday’s win over the Panthers.
