Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson returned to practice this week for the first time since aggravating an existing foot injury in the team’s regular season finale, but he said Friday he’s still unsure whether or not he’ll be in the lineup on Sunday.
Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that Dobson had a travel bag in his locker for Friday’s flight to Denver ahead of the AFC Championship Game, but that doesn’t always mean that a player will be making the trip. Dobson said his foot is feeling better and has held up well after limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday, although the final decision remains up in the air.
“I don’t really know what my situation is going to be this weekend, but I’ll go out there today, see how it feels, and go from there,” Dobson said.
Kenbrell Thompkins has also been limited in practice this week because of a concussion, so Dobson’s not the only uncertain party in the receiving corps. The Patriots will release their final injury report for Sunday later on Friday, which will give us some sense of where both rookie receivers stand for the matchup with the Broncos.
